We are the organization in Armenia, which started its partnership with Green Key, making us the first official representative of this prestigious program in the country. Green Key is a globally recognized label that promotes sustainable practices in the tourism industry, ensuring that hotels and other accommodations adhere to high environmental standards.
At ISSD, we believe in the importance of promoting sustainability. By partnering with Green Key, we aim to raise awareness about environmental conservation within the hospitality industry in Armenia. Our goal is to encourage hotels and accommodations to adopt sustainable practices that minimize their environmental impact, conserve natural resources and promote responsible tourism.

Green Key criteria
Green Key certified establishments follow strict environmental standards outlined in accessible criteria with detailed explanations.

Beverage
A minimum of 5% organic food must be included, along with strategies to minimize food waste.

Application Form 2026
The application process for the Green Key involves multiple sequential steps.
To initiate the process of applying for Green Key and gain access to Green Key’s e-portal, tools, and support materials, Green Key registration form must be completed and sent via email to Green Key Armenia.
Partnerships
Green Key x Armenian Hotel Association
As part of this partnership, hotels that are members of the Hotel Association are entitled to a 5% discount on Green Key certification fees. This allows them to not only reduce their environmental impact but also enhance their sustainability credentials, which is increasingly important for travelers today.
Green Key x SHB Advisory
Through the Green Key programme, ISSD works with SHB Advisory to support sustainability in the hospitality sector. By combining ISSD’s experience in international certification with SHB Advisory’s strategic and practical expertise, this cooperation helps hotels and investors receive clear guidance to obtain Green Key Certification and apply sustainable environmental and social practices.
