In addition, the entities will be required to pay an auditing cost (per audit) which will be set at 410 € flat rate for all hotels with over 15 rooms, while for smaller hotels and accommodations the cost will be 320 €. In case of regional hotels/accommodations the applicant will need to cover the accommodation cost for the expert/s if needed.

The fee includes a free plaque (sent after the first certification) and a certificate (sent annually). While the Green Key plaque is included in the annual levy, the delivery costs of the plaque will have to be covered by the applicant. The applicant establishment can choose to purchase a Green Key flag (25 € + delivery costs) or an additional Green Key plaque (40 € + delivery costs). This audit is also conducted again in year two, and thereafter every third year.

Note: Green Key certification is currently available for hotels and accommodations, other types of entities (e.g. camps, conference halls, etc.) will be eligible to apply soon. More information will be available soon.
